Who We Are

Demogent(“we”, “us”, “our”) is a motion graphics demo video generator. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights over it. We keep it plain so you can actually read it.

By creating an account or using Demogent, you agree to the practices described here. This Policy is effective as of August 14, 2026.

This Policy covers personal data only. Plan-based usage rights, including the personal-use limit on the Free plan and the commercial licence that comes with Pro, are set out in our Terms of Service.

Information We Collect

Account & Identity Data

  • Name and email address (collected via Kinde authentication)
  • Profile picture if you sign in with Google or GitHub
  • Account creation timestamp, plan, and onboarding answers

Product Data

  • Project names and their creation timestamps
  • Onboarding answers and any post-export feedback you choose to submit
  • Feature usage counts, such as how many projects and exports you have made

Your timeline edits, the logos and screenshots you add, and the finished videos you export stay in your browser. They are held in local browser storage and rendered on your own device, and are never uploaded to or stored on our servers.

Technical Data

  • IP address and approximate geolocation (country-level), used for fraud prevention
  • Browser type and operating system
  • Session identifiers and authentication tokens
03

How We Use Your Data

Service Delivery

Running your account and dashboard and keeping the list of your projects. Editing and video export run entirely in your browser, so the media and the finished video are handled on your device rather than by us.

Account Management

Authentication, plan enforcement, and essential transactional notices. We do not send marketing email without explicit opt-in.

Fraud & Abuse Prevention

IP addresses are checked against signup patterns to keep the free tier fair for everyone. See our Signup Abuse Prevention note below.

Legal Compliance

We may process or retain data as required by applicable law or regulatory obligations.

04

Third-Party Services

We use a small set of sub-processors. Each receives only the data it needs to do its job.

ServicePurposeData Shared
KindeAuthentication & session managementEmail, name, user ID
Supabase (Postgres)Primary database, via Prisma ORMAccount & project records
VercelApplication hostingRequest data, server logs

We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising networks or tracking pixels.

05

Data Retention

Account data

Retained for the lifetime of your account. Closing your account keeps it so the account can be restored; it is erased within 30 days of a deletion request.

Project records

The project name and metadata are retained as long as your account exists or until you delete the project. The timeline edits, added media, and exported videos live only in your browser, so clearing your browser storage or the project removes them.

Server logs

Retained for 90 days, then automatically purged.

06

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. We honour these requests for all users regardless of jurisdiction.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@demogent.com. We will respond within 30 days. You can also delete your account any time from Settings, which closes it straight away and keeps your data so you can restore it by signing back in; email us if you want that data erased for good.

07

Signup Abuse Prevention

To keep the free tier fair, we record the IP address a new account signs up from. If significantly more free accounts than expected are created from the same address, the excess new signups are flagged. Existing accounts on that IP are never retroactively affected. If you believe your account was flagged in error, contact support@demogent.com.

08

Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to operate the Service: a session cookie set by Kinde to keep you signed in, and CSRF tokens that protect form submissions. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

09

Children's Privacy

Demogent is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, contact support@demogent.com and we will delete it promptly.

10

Changes to This Policy & Contact

We may update this Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
