What's New
Every update to Demogent, most recent first. We are early, and this list will grow fast.

Autosave, undo, redo and external audio support
Your timeline now saves to your account as you work, so a closed tab or a dead battery no longer costs you anything. Undo and redo land on the timeline, you can bring your own music and sound effects alongside the bundled library, and the app now tells us when something breaks in a real browser instead of waiting for a report.
- NewAutosave. The timeline is written to your account a couple of seconds after every edit, and again the moment the tab is closed, with a status indicator in the header. Your browser still keeps a local copy, so a save that fails or retries is never a lost edit.
- NewUndo and redo across the whole timeline - clips, backgrounds, audio, and applied templates - up to five steps each way. Cmd/Ctrl+Z to undo, Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+Z or Ctrl+Y to redo. Stepping back past a media deletion brings the clip back but not the file, which has already been cleaned up, so it returns as missing media.
- NewBring your own audio. Upload music and sound effects from your machine alongside the bundled library; uploaded tracks are placed, mixed, and exported exactly like the built-in ones.
- NewError tracking. The app now records the exceptions real users hit, tied to the account and browser they happened in, so a broken export or checkout surfaces on its own. Traffic analytics stay as they were.
- Removed480p and 120fps are gone from the export dialog. Free now exports 720p at 30fps; Pro covers 720p, 1080p, and 4K at 30 or 60fps. Every destination we checked re-encodes to 30 or 60fps regardless of what's uploaded, so 120fps only bought the longest render in the matrix for a file that got downscaled anyway, and nobody chose 480p once 720p was free on every plan. The heavy-render warning and bitrate ceiling are recalibrated for the new top of the range, 4K at 60fps.
- ImprovedText and logo position padding now survives export. A layer that used a container-relative unit to place itself could render flush against an edge in the exported video while looking correct in the editor; the export's CSS rewrite was the cause. The editor preview was never affected.
- ImprovedProject media now lives in cloud storage with the local browser copy kept as a fast cache in front of it, so a project opens with all of its images and screenshots on any device, not just the one they were uploaded from. Removing a clip's media reliably cleans up the stored file once the change is saved.

Demogent is live
The public launch: a bigger component and background library, a real audio track, and an export pipeline built to stay fast as scenes get busier.
- NewSix new Advanced components - Rank Climb, Globe, Photo Arc, Tweet Card, Reddit Post, and YouTube Card - join the library under a new Basic/Advanced split.
- NewPro shader backgrounds: Fibers, CRT, Glitch, Dither, and Beams, each a live WebGL2 program with its own opacity and overlay controls, rather than a static image.
- NewAudio track: a bundled, licensed music and sound-effect library, placed as timed clips and mixed straight into the exported file.
- NewTwo more ready-made templates, for three total, each a complete pre-timed launch video ready to restyle.
- NewSelf-serve account deletion and restore from Settings.
- NewClear licensing: Free-plan exports are for personal, non-commercial use, and Pro now includes a full commercial licence. Details are in the Terms.
- ImprovedShader backgrounds now export through a pooled-canvas compositor instead of being baked into the frame as an embedded image, which is what keeps a render measured in seconds rather than climbing toward an hour as more shader layers are used.

Projects that follow your account
Projects now live in your account instead of your browser, and the editor ships its first ready-made template.
- NewProjects are stored on your account rather than in the browser, so the same list is there wherever you sign in.
- NewA first composition template - a complete product video, ready to customize with your own copy, colors, and logo.
- NewDownload a project's full timeline as a JSON file, for backup or to move it elsewhere.
- FixedPositioned text and logo elements no longer snap back to center the moment an exit animation is turned on.

Free plan limits
The Free and Pro plans now behave differently, not just read differently: project limits and export quality are enforced, not just described.
- NewFree is limited to one project; deleting a project is a Pro feature, enforced on account creation and deletion alike.
- NewFree exports are capped at 480p or 720p, 30fps, with a "Built with Demogent" watermark - shown live in the editor preview, not just in the exported file.
- NewAn in-app upgrade dialog appears wherever a Free limit is reached, showing the same plan comparison as the pricing page.

Pro, for real
Upgrading to Pro is now a real purchase: checkout, a receipt, and a settings screen that shows where your account stands.
- NewUpgrade to Pro through a hosted Dodo checkout, with a customer portal for receipts.
- NewAutomatic welcome and purchase-confirmation emails.
- NewA dashboard settings screen showing your plan, billing history, and account details.

Export, hardened
The export pipeline moved from a working demo to something built to hold up: every resolution and frame rate, plus the groundwork for a public launch.
- NewClient-side video export at every supported size, 480p through 4K, at 30, 60, or 120fps.
- ImprovedDedicated error pages, search metadata, and security headers, including a Content Security Policy running in report-only mode.
